Nearly two-thirds of the total 1,198 preventive detentions under the National Security Act (NSA) in 2017-18 were made in Madhya Pradesh and 28% in Uttar Pradesh, Rajya Sabha was informed on Monday. A total of 697 persons were detained under NSA in the country in 2018, of which 495 were in Madhya Pradesh & 167 in Uttar Pradesh.
