The Supreme Court has enhanced the compensation awarded to the next of kin of a 45-year-old man who was killed when Air India Express Flight 812 from Dubai crashed on landing in Mangaluru on May 22, 2010 from Rs 7.35 crore to Rs 7.64 crore. Mahendra Kodkany’s wife, daughter and son will now get Rs 7.64 crore plus 9% interest per annum
