The new policy that takes effect on Feb 1, a seller having equity participation by the e-commerce marketplace entity or its group companies will not be permitted to sell its products on the platform run by such a marketplace entity. Now the biggest challenge is to dispose inventory worth Rs 2,000-2,500 cr that Amazon India and the Walmart-owned Flipkart have.
