Youths sent pop-up messages from fake call centres in Gurugram to hundreds of people abroad, conned them into believing that their systems had been infected by malware, and then posed as Microsoft representatives to bag service charge by offering technical support. This large-scale scam was busted on Wednesday, and the police rounded up at least 12 men.
