iQoo Z7 Teased to Launch in India Soon, Poster Hints at Rear Dual Camera Unit

iQoo Z7 may soon arrive in India as the smartphone was recently teased online. While there has been no official announcement regarding the launch date and specifications the of the purported smartphone, the iQoo Z7 could feature a dual rear camera unit. The handset will be the successor to the iQoo Z6 series, which debuted in China in August 2022. The series debuted in two variants — iQoo Z6 and iQoo Z6x — followed by the launch of iQoo Z6 Lite in September 2022.

iQoo India CEO Nipun Marya took it online to tease the upcoming Z-series smartphone from the company. In his tweet, the CEO dropped hints about another ‘zeisty' smartphone. The poster showed a smartphone covered under veil, with Z7 written in the background. The image, showing the rear panel of the smartphone, hints that the iQoo Z7 could sport a rectangular camera module with dual sensors with the presence of OIS. The iQOO branding is placed at the bottom centre of the panel.

The teased image shows the iQoo Z7 in teal colour variant, but it may unveil in other options as well. However, there has been no details regarding the launch date, price in India, or the specifications of the smartphone.

A previous report by PriceBaba in collaboration with tipster Paras Guglani revealed that the iQOO Z7 series will include two models for its launch in India. These two models will be iQOO Z7 5G and the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G, with model numbers I2207 and I2213, respectively. In China, the company will reportedly release the iQOO Z7 and the iQOO Z7x. The respective model numbers of these devices are V2270A and V2272A.

The smartphone will be successor to the iQoo Z6, which had an August 2022 launch in China. The smartphone launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC, along with a LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage.

Acer One 10 (2023) Spotted on FCC Certification Website; Specifications Tipped: Details

Acer One 10 tablet is soon going to be announced with an updated version. The upcoming tablet will reportedly come with a number of upgrades from its previous models including a faster and more efficient chip. The tablet was recently spotted on US FCC certification listing with the model number T9-1212L, suggesting an octa-core 2.0GHz MediaTek MT8768 SoC that uses an ARM Cortex-A53 core. The listing also suggests that the Acer One 10 updated version will bundle up 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is expandable to up to 1TB of storage.

According to a report by IT Home, the Acer One 10 (2023) has passed the US FCC certifications revealing its processor and other details. The upcoming tablet is an upgraded version of Acer One 10 that debuted in October 2022. The listing suggests that the upcoming Acer One 10 will come with some significant upgrades over its previous version. It is said to come with an octa-core 2.0GHz MediaTek MT8768 chip which uses an ARM Cortex-A53 core.

The tablet is said to pack 4GB RAM and 64GB storage that can be expanded up to 1 TB. Additionally, the upcoming tablet could ship with a dual rear camera setup headlined by a 13-megapixel camera. It is also expected to get a 5-megapixel front camera. The device is said to feature a 10.1-inch IPS display with a 1920x1200 resolution. It could pack stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones, and a USB Type-C port.

Furthermore, the tablet is expected to measure 7.6mm in thickness and weigh 450 grams. There is also said to be optional keyboard support. Other leaked features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 5,000mAh battery with 7 hours of battery life.

Last month, Acer launched three new models in its budget-friendly Aspire 3 series. The laptops are powered by Intel Core i3-N series processors and feature around 40 percent more fan surface area than their predecessors. They are also said to offer a 17 percent increase in thermal capacity. The laptops are equipped with full-HD displays with Acer Blue Light Shield technology.

Watch: Olive Ridley Turtles On Odisha Beach For Annual Mass Nesting

A number of Olive Ridley turtles have reached the mouth of the Rushikulya River in Odisha for their mass nesting. The sea turtles arrive every year to lay eggs on the beach and the nesting continues for several days. Capturing the delightful sight, a video has been shared by Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda on Twitter.

In the clip, the Olive Ridley turtles are seen making their way from the sea to the beach. We can see some of them digging nests in the sand using their flippers to lay eggs.

The video collected more than one lakh views on the platform. Many users seemed mesmerized to see the mass nesting of the turtles.

More than 1.8 lakh Olive Ridley turtles laid eggs on the first day of their mass nesting this year. The nesting started on Thursday night in the four km stretch of the beach from Posampeta to Bateshwar. It is likely to continue for the next few days, according to Berhampur divisional forest officer Amlan Nayak.

Turkey Begins To Rebuild Homes For 1.5 Million Left Homeless By Quakes

Turkey has begun work to rebuild homes following this month's devastating earthquakes, a government official said on Friday, as the combined death count in Turkey and Syria surpassed 50,000.

More than 160,000 buildings containing 520,000 apartments collapsed or were severely damaged in the Feb. 6 earthquakes that killed tens of thousands in Turkey and neighbouring Syria.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced the death count in Turkey due to earthquakes rose to 44,218 on Friday night.

With Syria's latest announced death count of 5,914, the combined death count in the two countries rose to above 50,000.

Facing an election within months, President Tayyip Erdogan has pledged to rebuild homes within a year, although experts have said the authorities should put safety before speed. Some buildings that were meant to withstand tremors crumbled in the latest earthquakes.

"For several projects, tenders and contracts have been done. The process is moving very fast," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity, adding there would be no compromise on safety.

Authorities say tents have been dispatched for the many who are homeless, but people have reported trouble accessing them.

"I have eight children. We are living in a tent. There is water on top (of the tent) and the ground is damp. We are asking for more tents and they don't give them to us," Melek, 67, who was waiting in a line to collect aid outside a high school in the town of Hassa.

The school was being used as an aid distribution center by a group of volunteers called Interrail Turkey. One volunteer, Sumeyye Karabocek, said the shortage of tents remained the biggest problem.

HALF A MILLION NEW HOMES NEEDED

Erdogan's government has endured a wave of criticism over both its response to the devastation and what many Turks say were years of non-enforcement of construction quality control.

The Turkish government's initial plan now is to build 200,000 apartments and 70,000 village houses at a cost of at least $15 billion, he said. U.S. bank JPMorgan had estimated rebuilding houses and infrastructure will cost $25 billion.

The UNDP said it estimated that the destruction has left 1.5 million people homeless, with 500,000 new homes needed.

It said it had requested $113.5 million from the $1 billion in funds appealed for by the United Nations last week, adding that it would focus this money on clearing away mountains of rubble.

The UNDP estimates that the disaster had produced between 116 million and 210 million tons of rubble, compared with 13 million tons of rubble after the earthquake in northwest Turkey in 1999.

Turkey also issued new regulations under which companies and charities can build homes and workplaces to donate to the urbanisation ministry for people in need.

Many survivors have left the region of southern Turkey that was hit by the quake or have been settled in tents, container homes and other government-sponsored accommodation.

In Antakya, Saeed Sleiman Ertoglu, 56, loaded up what remained of his stock from his waterpipe shop that was not damaged.

"The glassware was very beautiful, more than usual, but then we had this (earthquake), and it all got ruined," he said, after his home and shop survived the first tremors but not the later one. He estimated that just 5% of his merchandise survived.

"What can we do?," he said. "This is an act of God, and God's will always bears gifts."

Watch: Telangana Hospital Turns Wedding Venue For Bride Admitted A Day Ago

A hospital ward became a wedding venue in Telangana for a woman who had to be admitted just ahead of her special day.

Bride-to-be Shailaja, who comes from a poor family, had to be rushed to the hospital in Mancherial for surgery a day before her wedding.

With all arrangements made for the wedding and relatives having arrived for the function, her family faced the dilemma of whether they should cancel it.

But fate had other plans as the groom decided to go ahead with the wedding and not let the money already spent go to waste.

The families then approached the doctors and requested them to allow wedding rituals in the hospital ward.

To their surprise, the hospital not only agreed but made all the arrangements for the wedding in the hospital.

Videos showed Shailaja teary-eyed as she finally got married on the hospital bed with the groom reaching out to wipe her tears.

The hospital did not only save her life but also acted like her parents by organising her wedding inside the hospital, said her sister.

But the real hero was the groom who ensured that the wedding rituals were as per the original schedule and did not mind the venue change, said one of the doctors.

India Urges Focus On 'Most Vulnerable' At G20, Avoids Mention Of War

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged global financial leaders to focus on the world's "most vulnerable citizens" as he inaugurated a G20 meeting on Friday, the first anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

PM Modi made direct no mention of the war in his address to G20 finance ministers and central bank governors at the Nandi Hills resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru, although the conflict and its effect on the world are likely to dominate the two-day meeting.

He said the COVID-19 pandemic and "rising geo-political tensions in different parts of the world" had led to unsustainable debt levels in several countries, disruptions to global supply chains and threats to food and energy security.

"I would urge that your discussions should focus on the most vulnerable citizens of the world," he said, adding that stability, confidence and growth had to be brought back to the world economy.

Participants at the meeting, however, are likely to focus on the war in Ukraine. The G20 bloc includes the wealthy G7 democracies, as well as Russia, China, India, Brazil and Saudi Arabia.

French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told Reuters that G20 financial leaders must condemn Russia's aggression against Ukraine and that Europe was working on new sanctions against Moscow.

US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and fellow G7 ministers called on Thursday for more financial support for Ukraine and vowed to maintain tough sanctions on Russia.

G7 chair Japan's finance minister, Sunichi Suzuki, told reporters that the group would closely monitor the effectiveness of sanctions and "take further actions as needed".

German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said the pressure on Russia must be kept high to "completely isolate" Russia's economy.

India, which holds the current G20 presidency, does not want the bloc to discuss additional sanctions on Russia and is also pressing to avoid using the word "war" in G20 communique language to describe the conflict, G20 officials told Reuters.

New Delhi has maintained a neutral stance on the conflict, vastly increasing its purchases of cheaper Russian oil. Russia calls its actions in Ukraine a "special military operation".

Yellen said the communique was still under discussion and she hoped to see a strong condemnation of Russia's invasion and the damage it has caused Ukraine and the global economy.

Global Economy Improves

The meeting comes amid signs that the global outlook has improved from the last G20 summit in October, when a number of economies were teetering on the brink of recession amid energy and food price spikes caused by the war.

Yellen highlighted the improvement, saying the global economy "is in a better place today than many predicted just a few months ago".

The International Monetary Fund has forecast global GDP growth for 2023 at 2.9%, up from a 2.7% forecast in October, but still well below the 3.4% achieved in 2022.

Yellen attributed the improvement in part to cooperation among G20 central banks and governments over the past year in taking strong action to quell inflation, even at the expense of growth.

Inflation in the United States and other countries has eased alongside lower energy prices, but Yellen added that such efforts needed to continue and more work was needed to mitigate spillovers from the war, such as easing food shortages and holding down energy prices and Russian revenues.

Samsung is gearing up to launch its' upcoming affordable A-series smartphones with various rumours and tips suggesting that the launches are imminent sometime in March. Now, a latest report suggests that the South Korean conglomerate will kick off its Galaxy A-series with the launch of two smartphones, namely, Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, and Samsung Galaxy A34 5G. The report also reveals high-definition render leaks that suggest the design and specifications of both the purported affordable smartphone entries from Samsung.

According to a report by Winfuture, Samsung's upcoming affordable A-series entries, the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G, will have circular camera modules that are aligned vertically, with the design mimicking the one seen on Samsung's flagship Galaxy S23 series smartphones. The design claim has been made through alleged leaked official high-definition marketing images of the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G. The report also goes on to indicate that the Galaxy A34 5G smartphone will have a notched display.

The Galaxy A54 5G has been tipped to feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while being equipped with an Exynos 1380 SoC. In terms of RAM and storage, the 5G smartphone could arrive in 6GB or 8GB RAM options, with 128GB or 256GB of expected internal storage configurations.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy A54 5G could feature a triple camera rear setup led by a 50-megapixel main camera with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS), followed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, the Galaxy A54 5G is expected to feature a 32-megapixel sensor.

The Galaxy A54 5G smartphone is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging and is expected to run on Android 13-based One UI 5.0 out-of-the-box. Connectivity options could include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A34 5G smartphone has been tipped to arrive with a 6.6-inch display, while being made available in four colour options - Awesome Silver, Awesome Violet, Awesome Lime, and Awesome Graphite. It is expected to run on Android 13-based One UI 5.0 out-of-the-box. The smartphone has been tipped to support 25W fast charging. In terms of optics, the Galaxy A34 5G could feature a triple-camera rear setup led by a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel macro lens.

Pricing details of the Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G have also been suggested with the Galaxy A54 5G sporting a suggestive starting price of about EUR 550 (roughly Rs. 49,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model could be priced between EUR 590 (roughly Rs. 52,000) to EUR 610 (roughly Rs. 54,000). Meanwhile, the Galaxy A34 5G's 6GB+128GB variant could be priced between EUR 410 (roughly Rs. 36,200) and EUR 430 (roughly Rs. 38,000), while the 256GB storage model may be priced between EUR 470 (roughly Rs. 41,500) and EUR 490 (roughly Rs. 43,300).
